I woke up on Halloween morning around 7:00am. It was for a random reason. But it was lucky I did.
When I looked up to Colorado's cage it scared me. her tail was up near the lid and the rest of her body was lying across the cage table in front of the cage, outside the cage.
I got up and grabbed her.
ONE LUCKY SAVE!
If I got up even a minute later I could of lost her. I got my dad and we put 2-pound waits on each corner of the lid. We got a new cage and are waiting for a new lid. in a few days we won't half to worry any more.
The reason she was able to get out: the lid was not a perfect fit. it could slide about 3/4 of a centimeter. I had 2 clips on the front of the cage. There were 2 small hooks built into the back of the lid. They could slide up about 1/2 a centimeter up. Even though Colorado is about a centimeter wide, she was still able to squeeze herself out.
This was a true story.
